Bio:

As a Montessori nursery and elementary teacher-trainer and an accomplished adult educator, “Ms Carol” brings unique talents and experience to her work.

A life-long learner, Carol holds a Master of Arts degree in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University, Victoria, B.C, where she was also awarded the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for academic performance.

She is currently the principal consultant of Renaissance Services,(est.1998), her private practice offering Professional Development, Change Management and Appreciative Inquiry events for learning organizations.

A frequently requested speaker, motivated and passionate coach, tutor and team member with a keen sense of humour, during her professional career, spanning 40+ years, “Ms Carol” has presented many training courses, seminars and public presentations on all aspects of Montessori theory and curriculum at home and abroad.

Following a successful lecture tour and presentation to the Shanghai Kindergarten Teachers’ Association in 1995 and for her assistance in founding the first Montessori school in Shanghai, Ms Carol was awarded an Honorary Professorship by the Child Welfare Institute of China.

She has two adult daughters Elizabeth (Liz) and Cathryn, and two grand-girls, Emma and Abigail. She currently makes her home in the community of Oceanside/Parksville on Vancouver Island – just a short walk from the ocean and where the hummingbirds winter over and sometimes drop in to play. “You are most welcome to drop by if you are visiting the island.
